Bagmati Chief Minister Jamkattel most likely to secures vote of confidence

HETAUDA: The Chief Minister of Bagmati province, Shalikram Jamkattel, has most likely to secure the vote of confidence.

With 27 votes from the CPN-UML, 21 from the CPN-Maoist Center, 2 from Hamro Nepali Party, and 7 from the CPN- Unified Socialist, the Chief Minister has garnered the necessary support.

In the Provincial Assembly, only the Nepali Congress, with its 37 members, remains in opposition.

Additionally, two parties are abstaining, with 13 members from Rastriya Prajatantra Party and 3 from Nepal Workers and Peasants Party remaining neutral.

During Monday’s Provincial Assembly meeting, Chief Minister Jamkattel presented the proposal related to the vote of confidence, and relevant parties have provided assurance of their votes during discussions.
