Nepal makes place in semi-finals, beats Malaysia by six wickets



KATHMANDU: Nepal reached the semi-finals after defeating Malaysia by six wickets in the ongoing ICC T-20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers.

After winning the toss, Nepal met the challenge of 166 runs given by Malaysia with the loss of four wickets. Kushal Malla and Kushal Bhurtel batted aggressively for Nepal.

Malla scored 65 runs off 34 balls with 7 sixes and 2 fours. Opener Bhurtel scored 43 runs off 25 balls with 4 sixes and 4 fours.

With Nepal’s victory, Oman has become the next team to reach the semi-finals from Group A. Oman won against Singapore this morning. With the defeat, Singapore and Malaysia are out from the contest.

On Wednesday, Nepal and Oman will compete for the group winners and runners-up.
