Emir of Qatar postpones Nepal visit

KATHMANDU: The planned visit of Qatar’s Emir Sheikh bin Hamad Al Thani, initially scheduled for November 6 and 7, has been postponed.

Qatar’s head of state has chosen to postpone his two-day trip to Nepal, citing escalating tensions in Israel, as confirmed by sources within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Qatari Embassy in Kathmandu relayed the postponement notice to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, creating a setback as the ministry had meticulously arranged for the Emir’s visit to Nepal.

An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs further stated that the rescheduled date for the Emir’s visit will be determined through bilateral discussions.
