KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda is returning home today completing his eight-day visit to China.
PM Dahal, who had been at Kailash Mansarovar in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, came back to Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province, on Friday.
During his visit to the Mount Kailash and Mansarovar, revered by both Buddhists and Hindus, PM Dahal expressed his commitment to enhancing the road infrastructure leading to the Nepal-China border.
This endeavor aims to attract Indian pilgrims traveling to Mount Kailash through Nepal, he stated.
Reflecting on the success of his visit to China on the eve of its conclusion, PM Dahal conveyed his satisfaction, emphasizing that the outcomes exceeded his initial expectations.
It may be noted that Nepal and China signed a 12-point agreement during the visit of Prime Minister Dahal.
PM Dahal visited China at the Invitation of Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China from September 23 to 30, and attended the Opening Ceremony of the 19th Asian Games.
During the visit, Prime Minister Dahal met with Chinese President Xi Jinping, held talks with Premier Li Qiang, and met with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Zhao Leji.
