Nepal bags easy win against Malaysia



KATHMANDU: After an improved performance in batting, Nepal won easily by seven wickets in the second Twenty20 match against Malaysia played on Tuesday.

In the match held in Malaysia, Nepal met the 99 runs target in at the loss of three wickets in 17.3 rivers.

In the first match on Monday, Nepal was defeated by 5 wickets. However, on Tuesday, Nepal achieved the target of 98 runs given by Malaysia by losing 3 wickets in 17.3 overs.

Captain Rubina Chhetri scored 29 unbeaten runs in 21 balls with 3 fours and 1 six in the match at UKM Cricket Oval.

Aisa Ilisa, Nick Nur Atiella, and Winifred took 1 wicket each for Malaysia.

Earlier, Malaysia, who won the toss and batted first, lost 5 wickets in the scheduled over and made a total of 97 runs.

Nepal captain Rubina Chhetri took 2 wickets, Kabita Kunwar and Indu Burma took one wicket each.
