DOLAKHA: The Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) President Chandra Prasad Dhakal urged the government to establish a high-level commission to promptly address the dispute concerning dedicated power feeders and trunk lines allocated to industries.
It’s noteworthy that the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) recently disconnected dedicated electricity lines (termed as dedicated feed and trunk lines) for certain industries due to unpaid dues.
During the inauguration of the Dolakha Festival in Charikot, Dolakha today, President Dhakal expressed concerns that this dispute would significantly impact entrepreneurs’ morale and further deteriorate the investment climate in the country.
In a press statement released today, FNCCI’s Dhakal emphasized that the formation of a high-level commission would comprehensively resolve the ongoing issue.
He cautioned that the dispute between the Nepal Electricity Authority and entrepreneurs could exacerbate the country’s economic challenges.
Highlighting positive signals of reform in the national economy, he urged the government to introduce programs that bolstered confidence among everyone, the statement noted.
Furthermore, he extended gratitude to the government for conducting discussions involving all parties and sides to address concerns and issues within the private sectors.
