Kathmandu police arrest one with fake Nepali currency

KATHMANDU: The police detained Sarita Tamang, 40, from Ramche Dimpokhari, on Thursday night for allegedly possessing counterfeit Nepali currency notes.

The arrest, conducted at Hanuman Chok in Gokarneshwar Municipality-4, led to the seizure of 24 counterfeit Rs 1000 bills.

Ongoing investigations aim to uncover more details about the incident, the police said.
