Govt to deploy security personnel for reconstruction in Jajarkot



KATHMANDU: In a bid to expedite the reconstruction of temporary houses in the earthquake-devastated Jajarkot district, the government has announced the deployment of security personnel.

The decision was reached during a Cabinet meeting held earlier today.

Rekha Sharma, the spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information Technology, informed the public that the government has authorized the deployment of the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and the Armed Police Force as deemed necessary for the reconstruction activities.

Simultaneously, the Cabinet has fixed the date for the National Assembly (NA) elections, scheduled to take place on January 25, 2024.
