KATHMANDU: The government has started its preparation to send workers to Israel through the government process in the second phase.
Spokesperson of Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Danduraj Ghimire said that preparation has gained momentum in sending assistant workers in response to the call for the same from Israel in the second phase.
He further stated Israel has shown interest in taking 500 Nepalis as assistant workers.
Ghimire also shared that the government has made necessary preparations to send Nepali workers in the second phase following Israel’s interest.
According to the Ministry, preparation was being made for the labor minister-level visit to Israel to expedite the preparation.
In the first phase, a total of 1,175 workers were selected through a lottery system for employment in Israel.
Minimum remuneration of 1,543 US Dollars was designated for each Nepali worker in Israel as a caretaker.
