BIRATNAGAR: Dr. Shekhar Koirala, a central member of the Nepali Congress (NC), expressed his confidence that the Koshi province government would be formed under the leadership of Uddhab Thapa.
Dr. Koirala stated that a coalition government would be established in the Koshi province, with Thapa at the helm, within a week. He acknowledged that previous interferences in government formation by speakers were regrettable mistakes, and he was pleased to see his prediction come true now. As a democratic party, the NC aimed to educate other political parties on such matters.
Dr. Koirala also revealed that a policy convention would be conducted during the Mahasamiti meeting, where decisions on economic policies, good governance, and measures to resolve farmers’ problems would be taken.
Furthermore, he expressed his confidence in the parliamentary committee’s ability to combat gold smuggling from foreign countries and reduce the economic losses caused by such unlawful activities.
Dr. Koirala emphasized the NC’s commitment to strengthening the incumbent coalition government.
