Two, including a Nepali die in shooting outside US consulate in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah



SAUDI ARABIA: A shooting outside the United States (US) Consulate in Jeddah of Saudi Arabia has left two people dead.

Reports said a Nepali security guard and the gunman were killed.

Aljazeera quoted a spokesperson for the Mecca Region police, saying, “A person in a car stopped near the American consulate building in Jeddah Governorate and got out of it carrying a firearm in his hand.”

“So security authorities took the initiative to deal with him as required and the exchange of fire resulted in his death,” it said.

No US citizens were injured in the gunfire, according to the US State Department.
