900 MW of electricity to be added to national grid

KATHMANDU: The government has estimated that 900 megawatts of electricity will be added to the national transmission line in the coming financial year.

Based on this, the government has announced to enhance the export of electricity as a new economic source.

Presenting the Budget 2023 at the Federal Parliament on Monday, Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat announced that the construction of Dudhkoshi, Upper Arun, Chainpur Seti, Jagdulla, Tamakoshi Fifth, Simbuwa Khola, Ghunsakhola projects along with Budhigandaki reservoir projects will be carried forward in the coming fiscal year.

He claimed that all households in the country will have access to electricity 2 years.
