Rabi Lamichhane picked RSP Chairman yet again



KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has given the responsibility of the party Chairman to Rabi Lamichhane.

A meeting of the party’s central committee held soon after Lamichhane acwuired Nepali citizenship on Sunday decided to give the responsibility of party Chair once again.

Lamichhane acquired the Nepali citizenship from the District Administration Office, Kathmandu on Sunday afternoon.

On Friday, the Supreme Court revoked Lamichhane’s position as a Member of Parliament, saying that he had not completed the process of acquiring Nepali citizenship after renouncing his American citizenship.

He was relieved of his position as the Chairman of the RSP as well as the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister.
