PM Dahal and UML Oli hold talks

Discuss Rabi Lamichhane's possibility of becoming Home Minister again

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and CPM-UML Chairman KP Oli held talks on the current political developments, including the election of President.

Sources said Prachanda and Oli also discussed whether to reappoint Rabi Lamichhane as the Home Minister.

It should be noted that the Supreme Court (SC) on Friday dismissed Lamichhane from the post of the minister and Member of Parliament in the citizenship dispute.

Lamichhane, however, acquired a Nepali citizenship from District Administration Office Kathmandu on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Prachanda is not willing to reappoint Lamichhane as Home Minister again.

Leaders of the Maoist Center have been demanding that the Ministry of Home Affairs should be led by a Maoist Center’s leader.
