19th Asian Games: Nepal plays a draw against B’desh



HANGZHOU: Nepal played a 1-1 draw against Bangladesh in women’s football at the 19th Asian Games.

In the match held at the Wenzhou Olympic Sports Center here today, Nepal came from behind to win a point against Bangladesh.

Rekha Paudel scored in the 83rd minute of the match, assisted by Sabitra Bhandari.

Earlier, Bangladesh took the lead with Sabina Khatun scoring the first goal of the match in the 44th minute.

Both, Nepal and Bangladesh were defeated in their previous two matches.

In the first match of the group stage, Nepal was defeated by Vietnam by 2-0 and in the second match by 8-0 by Japan.

Similarly, Bangladesh lost to Japan by 8-0 and Vietnam by 6-1.
