CAN announces Nepali Cricket Team for Asian Games, Abhinash and Binod’s comeback

KATHMANDU: The Nepali men’s cricket team for the 19th Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou, China has been announced on Friday.

The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has sent the name of the 15-member team under the captaincy of Rohit Kumar Paudel to the National Sports Council (NSC).

Fast bowler Abhinash Bohora, wicketkeeper Binod Bhandari and all-rounder Vivek Yadav have returned to the team after a long time.

Three regular ODI players Aarif Sheikh, Gyanendra Malla, and Bhim Sarki did not make it to the T20 format tournament.

Rohit Kumar Paudel (captain), Kushal Bhurtel, Dipendra Singh Airee, Aasif Sheikh (wicketkeeper), Kushal Malla, Gulshan Jha, Karan KC, Abhinash Bohora, Sandeep Lamichhane, Lalit Narayan Rajwanshi, Bibek Kumar Yadav, Pratish GC, Sompal Kami, Sandeep Zora and Binod Bhandari (wicketkeeper).
