Court grants 7 days detention permit against four accused in Lalita Niwas land grab case

KATHMANDU: The court has allowed the four accused to be detained for 7 days on charges of forging government documents to grab the land of Lalita Niwas located in Baluwatar.

The bench of Justice Basudev Paudel of Kathmandu District Court allowed the accused to be detained for 7 days for investigation.

SP Navraj Adhikari of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) said that the court has allowed former Election Commission Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Shah, Bhatbhateni Supermarket owner Meen Bahadur Gurung, then Dillibazar Land Revenue Office employee Gopal Karki and Dharmaprasad Gautam to be detained and investigated.
