Govt will ensure health, education free of cost: Minister Basnet



DAMAK: Minister for Health and Population, Mohan Bahadur Basnet, said it was necessary to provide health and education free of cost as the Constitution has defined both services as fundamental rights.

Minister Basnet stated that the incumbent government was sensitive to providing education and health services free of cost.

He underscored that the health services should be free of cost, not only affordable.

Stating that the Ministry has a plan to utilize beds of all government hospitals as cost-free beds, the Health Minister shred that discussion was held with the management of Koshi Hospital, Biratnagar, and it agreed to provide 330 beds free of cost to patients.
