Speaker Ghimire stresses construction of Tokha-Chhahare Tunnel Road

KATHMANDU: Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Devraj Ghimire has said that the Tokha-Chhahare Tunnel Road should be developed to ensure better road accessibility connecting Nuwakot district to Kathmandu.

He said that all political parties should pay heed to the development endeavors of the district.

“Much has been talked about Tokha-Chhahare Tunnel Road. This should begin soon. A massive transformation of Nuwakot district would be ensured after its construction,” he added.

Though construction of the Tokha-Chhahare Tunnel Road costs high, its benefits are long-lasting, Ghimire argued.

The project was envisioned to increase trade between Nepal and China through Rasuwa and Nuwakot.
