Nepal Army personnel dies impaled by iron rod



KALAIYA: A Nepal Army personnel died after getting impaled by an iron rod in Bara. The deceased has been identified as Raj Kumar Ram of NA Kasara Barracks, Nawalparasi.

Raj Kumar, the resident of Majhailiya of Kalaiya sub-metropolis-16, suffered a fatal accident as he was on the way to Kalaiya from Birgunj on a motorcycle. He accidentally got pierced by the iron rod loaded on a tractor at Sisahaniya of Kalaiya sub-metropolis-24 and died on the spot.

Following the accident, police have arrested tractor driver Ramesh Tiwari, 32, of Tikuliya of Dewahi Gonahi municipality-5 in Rautahat district, Superintendent of Police Homindra Bogati said.
