NBA asks Acting CJ Karki to begin fully automated system

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) has asked Acting Chief Justice Hari Krishna Karki to ensure the proceedings of the cases through a fully automated system within 15 days.

A team of the NBA led by President Gopal Krishna Ghimire met the Acting Chief Justice on Tuesday and drew the latter’s attention to advance the proceedings of the cases on the basis of a fully automated system.

After the meeting, NBA President Ghimire said that the attention of the Acting Chief Justice is drawn to the issue.

During the meeting, Acting Chief Justice Karki admitted that the issue raised by the NBA was serious and he would advance the process for this within a week.

The NBA had raised this issue as per the decision of its 15th National Conference held a month ago in Birgunj and the 48th meeting of the central executive council.

The NBA also reminded the Acting Chief Justice about the NBA’s move in defense of independent judiciary and implementation of the reports to do away with the intermediaries and irregularities.
