Kaski police writes Headquarters to take initiations for ‘Diffusion Notice’ against GB Rai

POKHARA: District Police Office Kaski has carried out a communication to issue the Interpol’s ‘Diffusion Notice’ against four individuals, including the Chairman of Suryadarshan Savings and Credit Cooperative, GB Rai.

According to DSP Shravan Kumar Bikal, District Police Office Kaski wrote to Police Headquarters to take initiation for ‘Diffusion Notice’ against the accused including Rai.

Sources have mentioned that Interpol is conducting a study on this matter. Preparations are being made to present additional documents/details regarding those who are absconding.

Once all procedures are completed, the branch requests Interpol to conduct a thorough examination, seek more information, and then issue the notice, as per the source.

In the case related to the misappropriation of cooperative funds, GB Rai and 18 others are absconding. Kumar Ramtel, the treasurer of the cooperative, was arrested from Kathmandu. The others are still at large.

Rai is also the director of Galaxy-4, TV. He is accused of defrauding through other cooperatives as well.

1,036 individuals, allegedly the victim of the Cooperatives’ misappropriation filed a case in District Police Office, Kaski alone.
