Unified Socialist’s Central Committee meeting to begin today



KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist Party is holding its Central Committee meeting today in Kathmandu.

General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal said that the meeting, scheduled to continue until Friday, will encompass discussions on revising the party’s statute and shaping the ideological approach for the upcoming convention.

The agenda includes an examination of the party’s organizational state, internal disputes, and the current political landscape.

During the meeting, party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal will present a contemporary political report, while General Secretary Bhusal will provide an organizational report.

Additionally, deliberations will focus on strategically assigning leadership responsibilities, ensuring a balanced representation across provinces, regions, and geographic areas.

Bhusal stated that criteria for candidate selection in the National Assembly elections, organizational expansion, and formulating an action plan to fortify the party at the grassroots level will be key topics of discussion.
