KATHMANDU: Religious teacher Acharya Srinivas has been taken into custody.
Acharya Srinivas was arrested during a protest in Gaushala, wielding a trident as part of the civil rescue campaign initiated by Durga Prasain.
Law enforcement apprehended him, citing alleged incitement through his remarks during the protest.
Srinivas was detained shortly after appearing in religious attire, brandishing a trident, and delivering provocative statements on the streets.
