KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has predicted the likelihood of rain and snowfall in some areas of the country today.

Light rain is expected in some areas of the hilly regions, while snowfall is anticipated in the high hills and Himalayan areas.

As per the Division, the morning weather is expected to be partly cloudy in the hilly areas and clear in other regions.

In the afternoon, the hilly areas will remain partly cloudy, while the rest of the country will experience generally clear conditions.

There is a chance of sporadic light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some parts of the hilly areas.

Furthermore, isolated occurrences of light snowfall are possible in a few locations within the high hills and Himalayan areas.

The weather tonight will be partly cloudy in the hilly regions, while the rest of the country can expect generally clear skies, it said.
