KATHMANDU: The Income Tax Department of India conducted simultaneous raids on the Nepali industrialist Binod Chaudhary’s company, CG Food India Pvt. Ltd., based in Jaipur.

This operation is part of a broader crackdown, with raids also taking place in Dausa and Sikar, Indian media reports said.

The Income Tax Department’s actions were prompted by confidential information received about Chaudhary’s financial activities.

The operation, spearheaded by the Income Tax Department, involves a thorough examination of the financial records and documents belonging to CG Food India Pvt. Ltd. and other companies within the Chaudhary Group, situated in these targeted cities.

This multi-city operation signifies a concerted effort by the Indian authorities to investigate potential financial irregularities within the Chaudhary Group, reports said.
