KMC fines grocer 150 thousand rupees for selling contaminated Coke



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has levied a fine of one hundred and fifty thousand rupees on a seller for vending adulterated coke.

Kalinchok Trading Nepal, situated in Putlisadak of Kathmandu, has been sanctioned this amount by the metropolis.

During a monitoring operation on Friday, one contaminated Coca-Cola bottle was discovered at the shop.

The metropolis has clarified that the fine has been imposed in accordance with Section ‘E’ of Article 29 of the Market Management and Monitoring Act, 2077.

KMC has been granted a period of 7 days to remit the fine.

KMC has directed the grocer to promptly remove the inedible products to ensure the quality of the goods that are intended for sale.
