Nepal sees 111 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 111 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Of the confirmed cases, 78 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 33 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 2,517 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,040 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,477 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 378 active cases in the country as 60 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbed to 12,029 to date.
