PM Dahal, Deuba and Madhav Nepal discuss cabinet expansion

Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, who is in the final preparations for cabinet expansion, consulted with top leaders of Nepali Congress (NC) and Unified Socialist Party on Monday. Prime Minister Dahal held discussion with NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chairman of Unified Socialist Party Madhav Kumar Nepal this morning.

Prime Minister Dahal and Speaker Ghimire hold talks

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and Speaker Devraj Ghimire held talks on Monday morning. At the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence Baluwatar this morning, the two discussed issues such as making the House of Representatives dynamic.

President Ram Chandra Paudel has said politics should be guided by service motive towards the society and people. He said so while speaking at a program to unveil a bust of Nepali Congress leader and former Minister late Nabindra Raj Joshi, constructed at Yatkha Kumari Temple premises of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-19, on the second memorial day.

Free telemedicine service to Nepali migrant workers abroad

The government is launching free telemedicine services from March 29 targeting the Nepali workers on foreign employment. The Foreign Employment Board said timely advice and consultation would be provided through this service as per the need for addressing the health problems faced by the Nepali migrant workers in foreign land.

RPP holds office-bearers’ meeting

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) held a meeting of its office-bearers today and discussed by-election taking place at Tanahu-1, Chitwan-2 and Bara-2 on April 23 in the meeting.

Home Ministry recommends promotion of four DIGs

The Ministry of Home Affairs has recommended the promotion of four Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGs) to the post of Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Nepal Police. DIGs Sandeep Bhandari, Sudip Giri, Mira Chaudhary and Tek Bahadur Tamang have been recommended for the promotion.

Khumaidanda draws increasing arrival of tourists

Number of domestic tourists reaching the Khumaidanda is gradually on the rise. With growing turn up of visitors, operators of three local hotels here are busy managing hospitality services. Popular tourism destination Khorchang is just a two-hour walk from Khumaidanda – which is located in an altitude of 3,245 meters from the sea level. Korchang is in an altitude of 3,682 meters.

NEA calls ISPs to remove unmanaged internet cables

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has asked Internet Service Providers (ISPs) of Tulsipur to remove tangled wires. The NEA drew the attention for the same reaching to the offices of 12 internet service providing companies, including the Nepal Telecom.

Covid: Ministry of Health urges people to receive booster dose

The Ministry of Health and Population has asked people to receive booster dose of the vaccine for the control and prevention of COVID-19. Director of Epidemiology and Infectious Disease Control Division Dr Chumanlal Das said that Nepal has reported more cases due to open border with India adding that the infection rate was on the rise in neighbouring India.
