Nepal to host Olympics football qualifiers in April

KATHMANDU: Nepal is going to host the first round of the Asian qualifiers of the women football for the Olympics to be held in 2024 in Paris, France.

Accordingly, the national women football teams of Nepal and Vietnam will participate in the tournament to be organized by All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).

Even though Afghanistan and Palestine are also in the group, both withdrew their names leaving only two teams—Nepal and Vietnam to compete for a place in the second round of the qualifiers.

Asian countries are divided into seven different groups. The winning team of each group will advance to the second round.

The first round of matches to be held in Nepal will be held on April 5 and 8 at Dasarath Stadium, Kathmandu.
