Prime Minister Dahal and Speaker Ghimire hold talks



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and Speaker Devraj Ghimire held talks on Monday morning.

At the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence Baluwatar this morning, the two discussed issues such as making the House of Representatives dynamic.

PM Dahal and Speaker Ghimire discussed on swiftly advancing some crucial bills.

According to PM secretariat, the meeting focused on the agenda of making parliamentary functions further effective and pro-people.

On the occasion, the two leaders also discussed on advancing the bill related to transitional justice and other bills related to implementation of federalism and amendment to some bills, it was informed.

Lately, political parties, especially the ruling coalition have been raising the issue of curbing the Speaker’s powers fuelling criticism.
