NC calls Central Work Execution Committee meeting

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has called a meeting of the party’s Central Work Execution Committee to finalize the names of the ministers to participate in the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda-led government.

The meeting to be held at the party central office Sanepa on Tuesday morning will discuss issues, including the current political developments, and its role in the government, among others.

It should be noted that the party has almost finalized the names of the participating in the government as ministers.

Sources claimed that today’s meeting will endorse the names of the ministers.

Nepali Congress, a major component in the 10-party coalition, has already finalized the names of five leaders who would join the Prime Minister Prachanda-led cabinet.

Although the NC has claimed a stake in eight ministries, it is probable that the party will receive seven ministries and one Minister of State.

Sources claimed that NC Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka and Dhanraj Gurung are most likely to become ministers.
