Industry Minister Bhandari pledges atmosphere for investment



KATHMANDU: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, has pledged to create an atmosphere conducive for reviving the closed industries.

While opening a wood expo here today, the Minister said the government would make efforts for building the atmosphere to reopen closed industries.

The Minister insisted on policy reforms from the government level to promote the investment environment at home. Speaking at the Nepal Wood international and Nepal International Furniture and Home Decor International Expo organized by the Media Space Solutions Pvt Ltd and the Futurex Trade Fair and Events Pvt Ltd, the Minister urged foreign investors to invest confidently in Nepal.

Admitting that the situation was not encouraging for Nepali industries, the Minister vowed to find out the root causes behind such situation and ways to resolve them. “We are committed to creating the situation for investment.”

The expo features over 100 stalls of international brands from various countries and it will run till January 29.
