KATHMANDU: The Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund has seen an outpouring of support, accumulating a staggering Rs 263.8 million.
Individuals, institutions, and organizations have rallied together to contribute to the cause, aiding in the recovery efforts following the November 3 earthquake.
Leading the charge is Min Bahadur Gurung, the proprietor of Bhatbhateni Supermarket, who stands out with the highest contribution.
Not far behind are entities like Rastriya Banijya Bank, Global IME Bank, Nepal Civil Aviation Authority, Gorkha Brewery Pvt Ltd, Buddha Air, and Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd, each generously donating one crore rupees.
The third tier of contributors includes Maoist Center, Nepali Congress, and Agricultural Development Bank, with each depositing a commendable 50 lakh rupees into the fund.
The Unified Socialist, Lumbini Development Fund, Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited, Everest Bank, Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited, Yeti Brewery Limited also joined hands, each contributing 25 lakhs.
Further down the list, PADT Mandur Service, IGI Prudential Insurance Limited, Halesi Tuwachung Municipality of Khotang, and Air Dynasty have made donations of 21 lakh 21 thousand 221 rupees, 12 lakh 50 thousand rupees, 11 lakh 51 thousand 100 rupees, and 11 lakh 11 thousand 111 rupees, respectively.
Companies like IME Limited, IME Life Insurance Company, Kailash Helicopters Service Limited, Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance Company, and Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank have also made substantial contributions.
Additionally, Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City of Sunsari, Nepal SBI Bank Limited, Taragaon Regency Hotel, Vegas Recreation Nepal Pvt Ltd, Rewachi International Pvt Ltd, GME Remit Pvt Ltd, Pride Entertainment & Recreation, Mahjong Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Imperial Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Atlantic Recreation Pvt Ltd, Belize Nepal Pvt Ltd, Altitude Air Pvt. Ltd., Muktinath Darshan Pvt. Ltd., and KNP Japan Pvt. Ltd. have demonstrated solidarity by depositing five lakhs each into the fund.
