Yogesh Bhattarai challenges former king to engage in active politics

TAPLEJUNG: CPN-UML leader Yogesh Bhattarai has challenged former King Gyanendra Shah, urging him to take on the role of Chairman in the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).

In a sarcastic tone in Taplejung today, Bhattarai proposed Rajendra Lingden for the position of RPP General Secretary and advocated for the former king to lead the party.

While challenging those pursuing political rights, Bhattarai emphasized the importance of entering mainstream politics directly and cautioned against alternative routes.

Notably, former King Shah participated in an RPP-organized event in Jhapa on Saturday.

It should be noted that Lingden. On Saturday, bid farewell to the former king, expressing concerns about the stability of the republic and highlighting its fragile foundation.

Bhattarai, in turn, cautioned former King Shah against compromising religious tolerance, inciting anarchy, and contributing to political instability.

Expressing reservations about the government’s stance on Shah’s activities and the recent demonstration in Kathmandu, Bhattarai raised questions about figures like Durga Prasai.

He called for clarification from Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda regarding individuals advocating for an end to the republic.
