KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has taken a proactive stance by convening a meeting of both the Central Committee and the Parliamentary Party on Wednesday.
The purpose of this gathering is to deliberate on pressing national issues that have far-reaching implications on politics and society.
RSP’s General Secretary, Mukul Dhakal, has confirmed that the meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday at 4 pm, hosted at the party’s headquarters.
“The meeting has been summoned to critically assess the recent presidential pardons extended to individuals previously convicted of grave criminal offenses, as well as to review the party’s initiatives aimed at engaging with the public,” Dhakal emphasized.
In a significant development coinciding with Constitution Day, President Ramchandra Paudel granted amnesty to Yograj Dhakal, alias Regal, serving a life sentence for the murder of Chetan Manandhar of Nepalgunj.
Dhakal further clarified that the official stance of the party on these matters will be communicated to the public following the comprehensive discussions within the meeting.
