Man dies of snakebite in Jhapa



JHAPA: A person died of a snakebite on Sunday night at Parakhopi of Haldiwari rural municipality-2 in Jhapa.

The District Police Office, Jhapa identified the deceased as local Shambhu Rajbanshi, 32.

It is said intoxicated Rajbanshi noticed a snake on the doorstep of his house, caught it and wrapped it around his neck. The reptile bit on his both hands. He breathed his last on the way to Charali-based Snake Bite Treatment Centre in the district.
