Men’s rugby team announced for 19th Asian Games



KATHMANDU: Men’s rugby team has been announced to participate in the 19th Asian Games scheduled in Hangzhou of China.

Twelve payers have been selected from a competition held at Tripureshwor-based Dasharath Stadium, said General Secretary of Nepal Rugby Association, Govinda Ghimire.

Nabin Maharjan, Birat Shrestha, Pujan Phewali, Yadu Adhikari, Niroj Karki, Sabin Mahat, Jhukendra Rai, Bikram Puri, Bishal Badu, Bibesh Basu, Suman Chaulagain and Shreeram Shrestha are in the team.

Similarly, Bikram Bharati, Bikas Rana Magar and Sujan Kumal are reserve players in the team.

Nepal is playing Rugby game for the first time in the Asian Games. The Asiad is taking place from September 23.
