Maoist Center Ministers resign en masse in Lumbini
CPN-Maoist Center ministers representing the party in the Lumbini province government have resigned from their posts on Sunday. According to Maoist Center’s Lumbini Province Committee chairman Sudarshan Baral, three ministers representing the party have resigned from the CPN-UML -led Lumbini government.
President Paudel visits Gorakhkali Temple in Gorkha
President Ramchandra Paudel visited the Gorkha-based Gorakhkali and the Gorakhnath temples and paid homage to the Hindu deities on Sunday. The President arrived here on a Nepal Army helicopter at around 9:30 am and offered special worship at the temples that lie on the premises of historic Gorkha Palace. Palace’s main priest Sharada Prasad Bhattarai assisted the President to perform puja as per the rituals.

CAAN initiates investigation on Air India pilot for alleged flight-safety negligence
The officials of the Civil Aviation Authority, Nepal (CAAN) have said that an investigation has been started against the Air India pilot for reaching abnormally close to Nepal Airlines plane during its flight towards Kathmandu. Last Friday, a Nepal Airlines plane coming from Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu was suddenly alerted that another plane was approaching.
NEPSE declines by 26.87 points, transaction amount shrinks to Rs 1.28 billion
Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a double-digit decline on Sunday, the first trading day of the week. The stock market fell by 26.87 points to 1888.27 points today. This is a decline of 1.40 percent. On Sunday, 37 lakh 54 thousand 334 shares were bought and sold from 32 thousand 168 transactions of 259 securities.
