Nepali Congress to stake claim to 8 ministries



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress, a key partner in the 10-party coalition, is preparing to stake claim to at least 8 ministries in the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda-led government.

The NC party has been demanding that it should get at least 8 ministries, including the Ministry of Finance, in the government.

According to NC Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka, they are preparing to stake claim to 8 ministries in the PM Dahal-led government.

He said that although PM Dahal and other leaders had earlier discussed giving 7 ministries to the Nepali Congress, the party has decided to stake claim to 8 ministries.
