PM Dahal stresses common responsibility for unity and tolerance



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has conveyed his belief that festive occasions, including Christmas, play a crucial role in nurturing national unity, religious tolerance, and social harmony.

In extending warm wishes to all Christian communities within the country and abroad on Christmas Day, the Prime Minister highlighted the multicultural diversity enshrined in Nepal’s Constitution.

He emphasized that it is a collective responsibility for everyone to actively promote unity and tolerance among diverse castes, cultures, religions, languages, and communities.

Furthermore, the Head of the Government underscored the impact of globalization, emphasizing the intense connectivity and assimilation of people from various countries, communities, and cultures worldwide.

Expressing his hope that Christmas would break narrow-minded perspectives, PM Dahal urged all to be inspired to work for the common good, aligning with national interests and human welfare.

He further stated that his message would emphasize the importance of shared responsibility in fostering unity and tolerance in the diverse landscape of Nepal.
