KATHMANDU: The current bout of wet weather is expected to endure until Saturday, with the chance of intense rainfall occurring at isolated sites, particularly within the provinces of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki, as forecast by the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

Weather conditions are likely to take some days to improve, according to Barun Poudel, a senior meteorologist at the Division.

The ongoing rainy spell is anticipated to extend until Saturday, with the likelihood of substantial precipitation in specific zones, notably in the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

The Division’s report indicates that the sky across the country is forecasted to be generally to mostly overcast today, bringing the possibility of light to moderate rainfall in certain areas.

Similarly, isolated locations within the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudur Pashchim Provinces could experience heavy rain along with thunder and lightning.

Tonight, the sky is expected to maintain its mostly cloudy condition nationwide, increasing the chance of light to moderate rainfall across various regions of the country.

There is a potential for heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few spots within the Koshi, Madesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces.
