Former Miss Nepal and journo, Malvika Subba, reveals divorce

KATHMANDU: In a candid revelation on the podcast “The Fourth Trimester,” hosted by Priyanka Karki, former Miss Nepal Malvika Subba disclosed that she got divorced from her husband, Riyaz Shrestha, two years ago.

During her conversation with Priyanka on the show, Malvika shared the challenges she faced and the difficult decision she made to leave home when her son was only two years old.

Despite facing opposition from her family, Malvika chose to take this step, and though it was tough, she has now come to terms with her new life.

The divorce was finalized four years after she left her home, and Malvika emphasized that it was a mutual decision to co-parent their son. While she expressed that she didn’t harbor any regrets about the divorce, she admitted to feeling emotionally empty and numb after signing the papers.

Despite the deteriorated relationship with her husband, Malvika remains committed to ensuring her son’s bond with his father and extended family remains intact.
