There is policy-level corruption in stock exchange’s license distribution: Lawmaker Amresh Kumar Singh

KATHMANDU: Independent lawmaker Dr. Amresh Kumar Singh has pointed out that there is a big policy-level corruption in the distribution of stock exchange licenses.

Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, lawmaker Singh alleged that the government has committed massive political corruption in the name of the distribution of stock exchange and commodity market licenses.

“The government should have made a call while distributing licenses,” he said, adding, “There is a game to finish the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) with a capital worth more than 60 billion.”

Singh questioned the rationale behind taking such a decision.

He urged all to oppose the political and policy level corruption that the government has started by destroying government property in this way.
