Rather than eyeing for ministerial post, I focus on strengthening the party: NC General Secretary Thapa

BHAIRAHAWA: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said he has concentrated his focus on strengthening the party rather than eyeing for position in the cabinet.

Speaking at a program organized in Bhairahawa on Saturday, the NC General Secretary ruled out the interest of being a minister.

“There is no reality in the rumor that I am becoming a minister. My priority is how to further strengthen the party”, he said.

General Secretary Thapa claimed that he has never sought favor of any leaders in the party and he has been at the current responsibility on his own.

He also assured that NC would do its best to make the incumbent government successful.

Thapa opined that NC should contest in all 165 constituencies of the country in the election to be held in 2084 and added that the preparation is underway in this regard.
