Nepalis in Portugal can get passports from nearest Embassy



KATHMANDU: Nepalis living in Portugal can now get passport and other consular services from the nearest Nepali Embassy in Madrid, Brussels, Berlin and Copenhagen, in addition to the Nepali Embassy in Paris, France.

This is stated in a notification on passport and consular services issued by the government for Nepali nationals in Portugal.

A new arrangement has been made by the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (foreign ministerial level) to address the difficulties faced by Nepali citizens living temporarily in Portugal, according to the notice issued by the Nepali Embassy in Paris on Friday.

Furthermore, a decision been made to send a team from the Department of Passport in Kathmandu to collect passport applications in Lisbon, Portugal, and the date for collection of the applications by the team will be shared by the Embassies.
