Nepal Police operating free buses in Kathmandu Valley today



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Police is operating a free bus service throughout the Kathmandu Valley today on the occasion of Bijaya Dashami (Tika) today.

The free bus service will be available along two designated routes within the Valley, catering to the convenience of the public during the festive period of Dashain.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Kuber Kadayat, the central police spokesperson, said one bus operates from Naxal through Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Chakrapath, Jawalakhel and Lagankhel before returning to Naxal and another bus goes through Airport, Bhaktapur, Sallaghari and Suryabinayak before returning to Naxal.

The free buses are scheduled to operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.

Furthermore, the Armed Police Force (AFP) has also said it will operate a free bus service on the day of Tika (Tuesday).
