SC to deliver verdict in contempt of court case against PM Dahal on Dec. 4
The hearing of the contempt of court case against Prime Minister and CPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has concluded and the final verdict in the case is scheduled for December 4. The Supreme Court has fixed the date of the judgment after hearing the arguments of the petitioner and the lawyer of the opponent Dahal on Sunday.

KP Oli, Chairman of the CPN-UML, strongly criticized the role of the Nepali Congress (NC) in Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’s’ cabinet, alleging that NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba has become subservient to the CPN-Maoist Center Chairman. Home Minister affirms govt’s intense deliberations on disrupting incidents of Sarlahi
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, has indicated that the government could possibly take decisions in a new manner if needed in connection with the incidents taking place in the districts of the Madhes province, including Sarlahi. Addressing the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, House of Representatives, meeting today, he said regular information is being taken through the administration and the security apparatus regarding the ground situation including the law and order in Koshi and Madhes provinces.
CIAA files corruption aase against former Simraungadh Chief Administrative Officer, others
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed corruption case against five individuals, which includes the former Chief Administrative Officer of Bara Simraungad Municipality. CIAA Spokesperson Bhola Dahal announced on Sunday that the Authority has lodged a corruption case against these individuals in the Special Court.
Sandeep Lamichhane’s hearing faces another postponement
The anticipated hearing in the minor rape case involving cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has once again been postponed. This delay, the second in recent weeks, is attributed to a shortage of judges at the Kathmandu District Court. On September 18, the hearing was initially adjourned for the same reason, and today, the situation repeated itself.
