KATHMANDU: This year’s monsoon that entered the country on June 14 has now spread nationwide.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, this year, the monsoon took nine days since its arrival to spread across the country.

Following this development, the Division predicts light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in many places for three days beginning Friday.

Likewise, there are chances of heavy rainfall to downpour at a few places in the Madesh Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province and Sudur Pashchim Province.

The Division warns of incidences of floods, landslides, inundation, soil erosion, and debris flow, hampering the transport service including flights, agriculture, tourism, and health sectors.

It has urged one and all to take preventive measures against possible consequences due to rains.
