NEPSE rises by 16.49 points on Wednesday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a rise for the seventh consecutive day on Wednesday. The stock market index NEPSE increased by 16.49 points to 1,959.12 points today.

Today, apart from finance, hydroelectricity, and mutual funds, the shares of hotel and tourism, and manufacturing groups increased today.

Although the market increased, the turnover decreased on Wednesday.

Yesterday, 48,65,000 shares of 270 companies were traded at 1.87 billion rupees.
Shivam Cement had the highest turnover today. It had transactions worth 140.6 million rupees today.

The share of Atmanirbhar Microfinance increased by 10 percent today. Although the overall market increased, the shares of Ajod Insurance Limited decreased by more than 3.5 percent.
